We always roomed together when traveling on work related events, sometimes staying up too late and cracking jokes, etc. Sharing and sometimes solving common problems and planning for the future of our company, we worked together. After Dave moved to Dallas, to run that organization and the Southern Region as I stayed in Chicago to run the Northern Region, a day rarely went by without us talking. Dave and I, while we did not start out particularly close, became extraordinarily good friends, sharing the joys and pains of our work life and sometimes our personal life. Grant worked with Dave through his retirement, around 1994 or so. We both knew Dave since 1978 & 1979, from our time at Allied Film Laboratory.
